Description: Time Warner Cable Arena or TWC Arena is a sports and entertainment venue located in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. It plays home to the Charlotte Bobcats (NBA), and was officially opened by the Rolling Stones in October 2005. It was originally opened as the Charlotte Bobcats Arena, but changed to Time Warner Cable in 2008 when the naming rights were sold. The arena also serves as home ice for the Charlotte Checkers, a minor league hockey team playing in the ECHL.
