The Tabernacle | Atlanta, GA

Posted by James Wolfe On June 9, 2009

Description: The Tabernacle is a concert venue in Atlanta. The venue was originally built as a Baptist in 1910 and used as such until the 1980s. With the coming of the 1996 Olympic games to Atlanta, the venue was renovated to become the House of Blues. The guts of the place have been painted to look like an eclectic folk art extravaganza and it has garner accolated from Rolling Stone and Paste Magazine for its great acoustics and sightlines. Though smaller in nature, the venue has attracted big name acts over the years like Elton John and John Mayer.
